Ceramic Coating is a premium, long-lasting protective layer applied to your vehicle’s exterior. Process to Prepare a Vehicle for Ceramic Coating

1. Thorough Wash: The vehicle is first washed using a 2-step foam bath and hand wash. This removes surface dirt, grime, and road contaminants to create a clean surface.

2. Decontamination:

• Chemical Decontamination: A decontamination solution, such as an iron remover, is applied to dissolve embedded particles like brake dust or industrial fallout.

• Mechanical Decontamination (Clay Bar): A clay bar is used to remove any remaining bonded contaminants like sap, tar, or embedded dirt that washing alone can’t eliminate.

3. Paint Correction (if needed):

• Any swirls, scratches, or oxidation in the paint are corrected through machine polishing. This step is crucial because ceramic coating will “lock in” the condition of the paint. For the best finish, imperfections are polished out before the coating is applied.

4. Final Surface Prep:

• A wipe-down with an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution is performed to remove any remaining oils or residues from the paint correction process, ensuring a clean surface for the coating to bond with.

5. Ceramic Coating Application:

• The ceramic coating is carefully applied to the vehicle’s paint in small sections, using an applicator pad. It is allowed to cure briefly, and then buffed off with a microfiber cloth to reveal a smooth, glossy finish.

6. Curing Time:

• After application, the coating needs time to cure, usually 24-48 hours depending on the product. During this time, the vehicle should be kept out of the elements.
